Blessing of Candles, Feast of The Presentation of The Lord, 2nd Feb 2025

The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas, will be celebrated on the weekend of 1st and 2nd February. You are welcome to bring candles for a special blessing. On Saturday, the blessing of candles will take place at the church entrance at the start of the 5pm Mass. On Sunday, the blessing will begin at 8.15am at Dewan Hsiong, followed by a procession into the church for Mass.

Rorate Caeli Mass

There will be a Rorate Caeli Mass celebrated on Saturday 21st December at 6.30am. It is traditionally celebrated just before dawn in Advent as a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Mass is only lit by candles, representing Mary’s role in bringing the Light of the World into the darkness of the world.
